Delaware River & Bay Authority

The Delaware River & Bay Authority (DRBA) was created by Compact in 1962. The DRBA, overseen by six commissioners from New Jersey and six from Delaware, is charged with providing vital transportation links between the two states as well as economic development in Delaware and the four southern counties of New Jersey.


Delaware River Port Authority

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency that serves as steward of four bridges that cross the Delaware River between Pennsylvania and New Jersey: the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges. Through its Port Authority Transit Corporation (PATCO), the DRPA also operates a transit line between Camden County, New Jersey and Center City Philadelphia.

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is an organization comprised of five business units and one Authority. They are: The Secretary's Office, State Highway Administration, Maryland Transit Administration, Motor Vehicle Administration, Maryland Port Administration, Maryland Aviation Administration and the Maryland Transportation Authority. This unique approach provides the state's leadership with the ability to develop a coordinated and balanced approach to transportation.


New Jersey Department of Transportation

Originally established as the New Jersey State Highway Department (NJSHD), the New Jersey Legislature passed the Transportation Act that created NJDOT in 1966. In doing so, NJDOT was the first State transportation agency to be established in concert with the creation of the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT).


New Jersey Turnpike Authority

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is dedicated to the safe and efficient movement of people and goods over two of the busiest toll roads in the United States -- the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway. The Authority's highways are a critical link in the transportation network of the Northeast I-95 Corridor. Every day, they provide the safest, quickest, and most convenient routes for hundreds of thousands of commuters, truckers, and recreational travelers.


Pennsylvania Department of Transportation

PennDOT oversees programs and policies affecting highways, urban and rural public transportation, airports, railroads, ports and waterways. More than three-quarters of PennDOT's annual budget is invested in Pennsylvania's approximately 120,000 miles of state and local highways and 32,000 state and local bridges. PennDOT is directly responsible for nearly 40,000 miles of highway and roughly 25,000 bridges, a system first established in 1911.


South Jersey Transportation Authority

The South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) was established by the Legislature in June 1991 to assume operational responsibilities for the Atlantic City Expressway, Atlantic City International Airport terminal, and parking facilities in Atlantic City. As a successor to the New Jersey Expressway Authority and Atlantic County Transportation Authority (ACTA), the SJTA serves six counties --- Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem.
